This route takes you through some of the beautiful landscapes of Oregon, including mountainous regions and wide-open spaces. Leaving Paradise Harley-Davidson we ride on Hwy 26 through Mt Hood National Forest to Warm Springs Reservation to the high desert to the edge of Malheur and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests to Baker City then on to Joseph for a two-night stay.
Join us for an amazing 4000+ foot high view (weather permitting) at the top of Mary’s Peak. Mary’s Peak is west of Corvallis in the Oregon Coastal mountains.
We’ll make a rest/fuel stop on the way in Dallas then on to Kings Valley, for a nice relaxing ride up to Mary’s Peak. There are some technical sections on this part of the ride.
A fun ride from Paradise Harley-Davidson through Vernonia out over Hwy 43 to Hwy 30 and across the Columbia on the Westport Ferry. Then we will have a backhills ride through the mountains of southwestern Washington to the city of Vader for late lunch.
Suggest you bring a snack of pick one up at the gas stop in Vernonia. This ride is time sensitive as the ferry only runs at the top of the hour.
We are going east through the Columbia River Gorge, then north through Goldendale to Yakima, stopping at Apple State Harley-Davidson. Continuing on to Packwood where we will stay at Packwood Inn; they have 12 rooms now on hold for us for July 26th, call 360-494-5500. The return trip will be an easy ride west along Hwy 12 turning south at I-5 (avoiding the freeway), headed home to Paradise Harley-Davidson. Links to maps and GPX files are below.
