Closed Chapter Ride

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release.

Olympic Coast Overnight Ride

Forest twisties and ocean views await us on this magical ride over the best-kept secret of the Northwest. We will start our adventure out of Paradise and over the back route into Astoria for lunch and fuel, the over the Megler bridge to long beach and up 101 ending our ride at the best western hotel in downtown Aberdeen. Dinner will be at Billy's Tavern, a retired brothel.

Midweek Ride to Garibaldi

The ride will take us through Carlton along the Nestuca River to Beaver and then into 101N to Garibaldi. After lunch, we will travel north on 101 to Nehalem into Rte 53. The ride will end at the Rte 53 and Hwy 26 junction.

Chapter Ride and Picnic

Come join the ride to the chapter picnic. Dave will be leading the group on a short ride to Valerie and Lee's place in Oregon City. The chapter picnic will have fun and food for all.. Bring your family or have them meet you at the picnic. We will be having pulled pork and teriyaki chicken for the main dishes.

Arrive: 10:30 AM for the ride

KSU 11:00 AM Picnic will start about 11:30 when the group arrives.

Pine Hollow Ride

We’ll be meeting on Thursday 07/22/21 at Paradise H D, at 8:30 AM with KSU at 9:00 AM.
The ride will proceed out Hwy 205 thru Oregon City, east on the Clackamas River Hwy.
There will be a Pit Stop at the 76 station at Bakers Ferry & Clackamas Hwy.
Then out thru Sandy, Or over Mt Hood into Tygh Valley.
We should arrive near NOON / lunch time.
The Lucky Bar & Grill is open, with both Indoor & Outdoor seating overlooking the Lake.
They have Pizza, Burgers and a few other items.

Uncle Buck's Wheatland Ferry Ride

This ride covers Tualatin Valley, up over Chehalis Mountain, through the vast farmlands of the Willamette Valley, to the Wheatland Ferry. We will take a short ride on the ferry, then it is off to Willamina, for a fuel stop and lunch. We will get on the road again and ride through a park-like setting across Bald Mountain with a view of the Gaston Barney Reservoir then back to Paradise HD

3-Capes Ride

Join us on a chapter ride to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Arrive at 8:30 AM, KSU at 9:00 AM. Our ride is about 116 miles and 3 hours of fun to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Our route will be thru Carlton to Willamina until we reach Pacific City. We will then follow the coast north past Kiwanda State Park, Netarts, and possibly around Cape Meares to Tillamook Cheese Factory for great munchies and lunch. After lunch, you will be on your own to wander back home. If you prefer to follow Dale back to Paradise Harley Davidson, he would love the company.

Hells Canyon Non-Rally Overnight Ride

Phil will be leading the Hells Canyon Overnight Ride leaving on Thursday, July 8th, and returning Sunday, July 11th. The route will take us through Central Oregon with stops in Welches, Fossil (for lunch and fuel), John Day for fuel, and on to Baker City. We will travel through some historic towns and the John Day Fossil Beds. The route to Baker City will be 373 miles and take 8hr 30min of time in the saddle. 

Phil will put together Friday and Saturday rides which are two of the more popular rides during the Hells Canyon Rally. Please send suggestions for rides to Phil.

Fire Cracker 250 Ride

This is an annual favorite ride. It starts with a ride to Vernonia for a quick stop and gas (If needed), then off we go over Hwy 47 to Hwy 202 into the coast range forest, coming out onto the back bay area of Astoria and a lunch stop at Fultano's Pizza. After lunch, we will go to the Chevron station in Astoria to fill up, and then across the Megler bridge to Washington. There we will ride through the southwest Washington forest along the Columbia with a comfort stop in Cathlamet.

Father's Day/Solstice Ride

This will be a Washington-side ride, going up back roads and smaller highways to Longview and crossing into Washington there, then going to Soltero's Mexican Restaurant for a delicious lunch break, after which we will head back to Paradise H-D. KSU will be 1030 and I expect to be back sometime between 1500-1600. The exact route is still TBD as I'm currently working on building it to fit the time frames and keep it fun.
