Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release.
Paradise HD Mystery rides are just that. A mystery as to where you are going. On the day of the ride, the Lead Road Captain will let riders know where the route will take them. Generally, the rides will be around 2 hours in length and cover about 100-150 miles.
Join Dave for a scenic ride through Willamette Valley to the highest peak in the Coast Range. At 4,097 feet, Mary's Peak, on a clear day you can see the Pacific Ocean to the west and mountain peaks of the Cascade Range to the east. The beginning of the ride is an easy one and we will enjoy a Subway lunch in Monmouth Park. The second portion of the ride along 223, hwy 20 and 34, and up Mary's Peak Road is a little more challenging with lots of turns and twists on Mary's Peak road. At the top... sit back and enjoy the view!
Forest twisties and ocean views await us on this magical ride over the best-kept secret of the Northwest. We will start our adventure out of Paradise and over the back route into Astoria for lunch and fuel, the over the Megler bridge to long beach and up 101 ending our ride at the best western hotel in downtown Aberdeen. Dinner will be at Billy's Tavern, a retired brothel.
The ride will take us through Carlton along the Nestuca River to Beaver and then into 101N to Garibaldi. After lunch, we will travel north on 101 to Nehalem into Rte 53. The ride will end at the Rte 53 and Hwy 26 junction.
Come join the ride to the chapter picnic. Dave will be leading the group on a short ride to Valerie and Lee's place in Oregon City. The chapter picnic will have fun and food for all.. Bring your family or have them meet you at the picnic. We will be having pulled pork and teriyaki chicken for the main dishes.
