The Polar Bear Run is an annual event held on New Year’s Day. The event is sponsored by the Trinity Road Riders and is open to the general public and to all motorcyclists. 2019 will mark the 35th running of the Polar Bear Run. The Polar Bear Run is a self-guided ride for individual riders or groups. The ride begins at Cycle Gear in SE Portland and ends at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria in Oregon City. Each year, the road captains of Trinity Road Riders design unique ride routes. You can choose to ride 1 of 3 rides. Again this year, there will be a grand prize drawing for a 2-night stay at Siletz Bay Lodge in Lincoln City. The winner will be chosen and announced at Jimmy O’s at the ride’s end.Everyone is encouraged to enjoy fellowship among fellow riders at Cycle Gear. This is a chance to share tales of the road with friends not seen since the cold weather has set in. There will be complimentary donuts, coffee, and chili for you (provided by CMA and Cycle Gear or Portland). Bike blessings are available upon request! After finishing the ride, warm up at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria and enjoy some great pizza. There you can spin the prize wheel for an assortment of door prizes.
Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release.
