Olympic Rain Forest Overnight Ride

This is a three day excursion into the lesser traveled part of out neck of the wood, the Olympic Peninsula.

Day 1 will have us running through 202 out to Astoria for lunch and a quick fuel stop. Then over the Megler bridge through Long beach and up 101. At Raymond, we will break off onto SR105 to see the light house at Gray's harbor lighthouse, then follow 106 into Aberdeen for the night. We will meet for dinner at Bill's......it's a great place.

Day 2 will have us following the northside of the harbor then up the coastline. We will take SR109 up to Pacific city and break off onto the Moclips hwy that will bring us back to Hwy 101. We will run up 101 and stop for lunch and fuel in Folks. Time permitting, we will break off onto SR113 out to Neah Bay (The tribe has reopened the border to non tribal members so we can take a photo of us at the farthest north west point of the continental United States. We then will backtrack and go onto SR112 that will run us on the best motorcycle road in the state of Washington.....we then rejoin 101 into port Angeles then we end the day in Port Townsend.

Day 3 We will ride out of Port Townsend back to the southern route of the 101 loop, riding the west side on the Puget sound, using the back roads we will stop for lunch in Centralia and because of bridge washouts, we will need to jump on I-5 to Longview after lunch, once we get to Longview we will go over the Lewis & Clark bridge and onto hwy 30 and on to home.

Arrive: 9:00 am

KSU: 9:30 am
