LOLO PASS OVERNIGHT RIDE
This will be a 4-day ride, on average 370 miles a day. There are places where gas will be 170 mile between stops that have premium, please bring Octane booster as a backup.
I suggest a cooler with snacks and drinks, but lunch's will be at a restaurant.
If the historic temperatures hold true, we can expect night time temps in the high 40's and daytime highs in the mid 70's so please bring good layering cloths.
I recommend using Kayak to book your rooms, I will be staying at the Motel 6 night 1, The Super 8 Night 2 and The Rivertree inn night three.
We begin by riding out through Maupin and Shaniko out to Spray then through the Painted Hills to Dayville and Mount Vernon. We then will ride over Hwy 7 to Baker City for the night.
Baker City - I will suggest two Hotels, The Super 8 or the Motel 6 as they are on the route and across the street from each other.
Day two will have us riding through Hells Canyon and the Snake River Canyon up Idaho 13 to Kooskia and onto Idaho 12 going east through Lolo Pass. We will ride our way to Missoula, Montana for our second night.
Missoula - The two Hotels I suggest are the Super 8 or the Quality inn, both are next to each other and up buy Grizzly Harley Davidson.
Day three will see us going northbound on the east side of the Noxon Reservoir to Sand Lake for lunch. After lunch we will go southbound on the west side of the reservoir down to Lewiston/Clarkston for the 3rd night.
Lewiston/Clarkston - Hotels, the Rivertree inn, the best western plus and a block away the Holiday inn.
Our final day will be a ride from Lewiston down through Kennewick to the Columbia Gorge and home.
Arrive: PHD on Friday the 20th at 7:30 AM.
KSU: 8:00 AM.
