| I am an honored member of Sunset Hog. They call me Uncle Cliffy or sometimes Bulldog. People that have accepted me in their Harley Life have been the true friends we all want.
I currently ride a 2010 Ultra Limited. Having fun riding is only half the fun, the fun is riding with your friends to go have some fun. Want to have more fun than riding some where to have fun with your friends? | Member since 2008 Ride a Dyna Super Glide Being a member means being with a great bunch of people riding great rides. and messing with Ken ( The Sheppard),Ron (da Bull), and others I can not mention for fear of retaliations. |
| When I was looking for an apartment, I happened to call upon Ron "Da Bull" and Cindy "Stitch" Simmons. Asking them if they minded having a Harley at their apartments, they replied, "Heck no, we ride two Street Glides!" I knew I had found my new "home" and at the same time found two of my best friends! Shortly after that, Ron encouraged me to come to one of the meetings, and I was hooked! Being a couple of geeks, Ron and I decided to take on the website as co-webmasters. Now I was really involved! We spent many hours trying to reverse engineer the website to get it where it is today. My former job prevented me from going on Saturday rides, but my new job sets me free on Saturdays. I can tell you first hand that this is one of the most supportive, fun and, yes, caring groups you will ever find. Come to one of the meetings. Go on a ride. Eat with us on a dinner ride. You will be "hooked" too! John Cole Member since 2008 2009 Ultra Classic |
| Groucho Marx once said, ""PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER". That's me...I generally don't join groups. When I bought my last Harley, they gave me a free one-year membership in Sunset HOG. I read the newsletters, occasionally looked at the schedule, and just kept renewing my membership but I didn't get involved. Over the years I dropped in for a ride every year or two but I just didn't connect. Two years ago, something clicked and I decided I needed to get involved or get off the pot. (Those weren't my exact words, but you get it.) At that point, I jumped in with both feet. I volunteered to co-chair the annual Poker Run, became a Road Captain, and participated in a number of rides and Chapter events. I'm glad I did. I've made some great friends, done some nice rides, and improved my riding skills. I'd call that a great return on my investment. Give it a try; you're sure to have some fun and good company and you can always find someone, unlike your wife, who thinks a discussion of which pipes are best is an interesting subject. | Hi, I ride a 2005 Superglide that I bought 3 something years ago. I saw EJ when she attended a Rose City Hog meeting and had met her earlier. We rode home together and then I met a couple of other ladies from Sunset Chapter. The warmth and welcoming response that I received was what I had been looking for. A few nice women who I could relate to and ride with. After I attended a couple of Sunset HOG meetings, I was convinced that these were the kind of people I wanted to be associated with. Although I am still learning names, everyone that I have me at Sunset Chapter are genuine friendly and are really great people. I am honored to belong to such a great group of individuals.. and LOH rocks!! Thanks to all of you! |

Having left a really fun club in the midwest when we moved here, it was difficult to find a group that reminded us of the first HOG Chapter that was as friendly and fun. In fact, we were about to sell the bikes and do something else. As a last "ditch" effort we attended the chapter meeting. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at "home" We really appreciate all of the rides they have planned and we participate on as many as we can. We are making lots of friends and look forward to becoming even more involved in the Sunset HOG in the coming months.

My ride is a 2009 Tri-Glide.
I've never been a "joiner" to any organization but since joining the HOG Sunset Chapter I can honestly say that I have enjoyed it immensely. The group made me feel right at home from the very first meeting and I actually look forward to each and every monthly meeting. Our current officers are fantastic and make each monthly meeting as well as the rides a fun time for all. Marty Jouett Member since 2009 |

The chapter is a lot of fun and always something new going on. When you first walk through the doors we make you feel welcome. We have many events throughout the year for every walk of life and riding style. Be our guest on a ride or attend a meeting. You'll be glad you did. Member since 2003 2003 Softail Ken |

I ride a 2005 Road King (FLHRI) that I purchased in 2008 and since then have managed to put over 12,000+ miles on. Originally my membership was included as I financed my bike through Paradise Harley Davidson and I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I soon realized however, that a major part of riding Harleys is sharing the experience with others. Sunset HOG does an incredible job of notifying the members of upcoming rides and scheduling some incredible adventures. In addition, they host all types of training sessions to help you become a better rider, group rider, road captain etc. all included in the membership. Finally, the monthly meetings that Sunset HOG conducts is a great way to learn more about the chapter and more importantly your fellow riders.
Well done Sunset Hog!! |

For me it's about having fun an seeing our chapter friends and leading some awesome rides around Oregon & Washington. I've been with the chapter since February of 2007. Back then I rode a 07 Ultra Classic with my Cindy on the back. But now we both have our own matching shiny Sunglo Red Street Glides. If you looked up Sunset Chapter in the ole Webster dictionary it would say. "Come ride with us join our chapter and look to have a great time.... We be a friendly group of bikers with family values" Ron (aka The Bull) Member since 2007 Road Captain since 2008 The Bull |

I've been riding two wheel motorized vehicles since I was 14. I received my motorcycle endorsement when I was 21, bought a 1965 Honda Hawk, then started dirt bike riding. I owned a number of dirt bikes over the years, my last dirt bike was a Honda XR400. I purchased my first Harley (100 anniversary, 2003 Sportster) when I was 54, my second Harley (100 anniversary, 2003 Road King Classic) when I was 55, and the Harley I ride now (105 anniversary, Road King Classic) when I was 58, now I'm 61 and ride more now than ever. The club has introduced me to a number of great people and also gives me a place to tell about my rides. Lonnie |
