The Sunset Chapter is a local HOG Chapter that is sponsored by Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard, Oregon. The Sunset Chapter has regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month.  We meet at the Beaverton Elks Lodge at: 3500 SW 104th Avenue, Beaverton, OR at 7:00p. We discuss the ride schedule, meet new friends, and tell stories about past rides. Come early for dinner. Also, if you ride your bike to the meeting you automatically get a chance to win a door prize.

The Sunset Chapter publishes the Swineline newsletter of past events, upcoming events and photos of participants at their finest (or not).  There are usually extra copies of the Swineline newsletter on the HOG counter at Paradise Harley-Davidson (PHD) and it is also available online in the Members Only section after you become a member. The Sunset Chapter also holds a Group Riding Class on the last Saturday of every month. For a $5 fee, this classroom only event teaches you how we ride safely in a group. The following Saturday, we hold a New Member Ride which provides you with the opportunity to put those skills you learned the week before, on the road, with your bike, on a 2 or 3 hour ride through our scenic countryside.

The Sunset Chapter welcomes all national HOG members to join our Sunset Chapter. We have a calendar of riding and social events throughout the year. Ride and have fun with us. Annual membership dues are only $24.  Members receive a monthly newsletter and a weekly “HOG Call” phone message. Both of these are optional, as the Swineline is available online, in its entirety, two weeks before others receive it by mail, and that works for some of our members.

For many Sunset members, the Chapter has become their second family.  Most members have formed very strong bonds and friendships with other members because of their involvement with the Sunset Chapter.  It all boils down to meeting new people, riding, eating, camaraderie and having fun.

More about the Sunset Chapter: This Sunset HOG Chapter started in late 1989. Thirty Harley riders completed the charter and so it began. From those beginnings, the Chapter has grown to over 450 members, including a few of those first members who are still active with the Sunset Chapter today.
