Ladies of Harley

LOH was founded as a support network for women interested in motorcycling, whether as a passenger or a rider. The purpose was, and is, to get more women involved in motorcycling although not specifically to get them to move to the front seat. This purpose is accomplished by providing, within the LOH group, role models for new lady riders, opportunities for social interaction with other women interested or involved in motorcycling, and opportunities for skill building, if desired. Initially, participation was limited to women only. As time passed it was opened to LOH members and their invited guests, which mostly included their significant others.

Sunset Chapter offers ladies only meetings on the 1st Sunday of each month, 11:00am at Paradise HD. A ride typically follows the meeting, geared toward the riders attending, and guests are welcome to join us.

Regular LOH meetings began when Paradise owner, Mike Durbin, invited LOH to represent itself at one of the sponsored events. With a brand new idea and three weeks to prepare, a meeting was held each weekend. We had a darn good time, and decided to continue meeting at least once a month. We toss all sorts of ideas around, with several activities achieving enough success to be repeated (i.e., garage parties sponsored by Paradise HD, biker movies in October, Wenatchee run, Ladies vs Men Bake Off, Muffin Run). The growth and successes of LOH are further supported by several LOH members' participation in the Road Captain program.

From year to year, specific activities of LOH change dependent on the leadership and what the membership wants to do. The past year LOH has focused energy on several fund raising projects. A shout out, and big thank you to our HOG club family and friends for their extraordinary support.
